Personalized Ceremony
Your ceremony is the heart of your wedding day, and it should feel personal, meaningful, and truly reflective of your relationship.
Before the event, you will meet with Celebrant Michelle Sponseller to talk about your story, your values, and the tone you would like for your ceremony. From that conversation, Michelle will craft a custom ceremony written specifically for you. There are no generic templates or stock scripts here. Each ceremony is thoughtfully created so your moment at the altar feels authentic and memorable.
On your wedding day, Michelle will guide the ceremony with warmth and professionalism, ensuring the experience feels relaxed, heartfelt, and joyful for you and your guests.
After the ceremony, Michelle will also complete and properly return your signed marriage license to the County Clerk’s office, so you can simply enjoy your celebration knowing the legal details are handled.
Historic Chapel Setting
Your ceremony will take place inside the beautifully restored Jackson Street Chapel, one of Central Michigan’s most charming historic wedding venues. Located just blocks from downtown Clare, the chapel has been thoughtfully preserved to highlight its original character while creating a warm and welcoming space for modern celebrations.
With its elegant architectural details, soft natural light, and intimate atmosphere, the chapel provides a beautiful setting where your vows and your love story take center stage.
Each couple enjoys exclusive use of the chapel for one full hour, allowing time for your personalized ceremony, photographs inside the historic space, and the opportunity to celebrate and connect with your guests. The setting comfortably accommodates up to 20 guests, including the wedding party, creating a relaxed and meaningful experience for everyone in attendance.

Your celebration will be beautifully captured by Miss Lily Photography, preserving the moments, emotions, and small details that make your wedding day so special.
With years of experience photographing weddings and life’s milestone moments, Lily has a gift for helping couples feel comfortable in front of the camera while capturing images that feel natural, joyful, and authentic. From the excitement before the ceremony to the smiles, laughter, and quiet moments shared afterward, her photography tells the story of your wedding day in a way that feels genuine and timeless.
Each couple will receive a curated digital gallery of professionally edited images, allowing you to easily download and share your photos with family and friends. Print options and keepsake products are also available, giving you the opportunity to turn your favorite images into lasting memories you can display and enjoy for years to come.

Ready. Set. Wed! began with a simple idea.
Michelle Sponseller, celebrant/officiant, and Lily Angiolini, owner of Miss Lily Photography, recognized that many couples in Central Michigan were searching for something different from the traditional wedding experience. They wanted to offer couples a wedding option that felt personal and meaningful, but without the expense, pressure, and months of planning that often come with larger weddings.
Together, they began imagining a micro wedding experience that would allow couples to celebrate their love in a way that was intimate, joyful, and beautifully simple.
That vision truly came to life when they connected with the historic Jackson Street Chapel in downtown Clare. Thoughtfully restored and filled with charm, the chapel offers the perfect setting for an intimate celebration. Its warm character and welcoming atmosphere create a space that feels both meaningful and memorable for couples and their guests.
From there, Ready. Set. Wed! was born, a Central Michigan micro wedding event designed to provide couples with a beautiful and affordable way to say “I do.”
This thoughtfully curated experience brings together the most important elements of a wedding day in one simple package. Originally built in 1863, the chapel has been thoughtfully preserved and carefully renovated, ensuring its historic character remains intact while providing a welcoming space for today’s celebrations.
For added convenience, Jackson Street Chapel also features a private bridal suite located on the lower level, providing a comfortable space for the bride and wedding party to prepare, relax, and enjoy the special moments leading up to the ceremony.
